River and Hill

This is an archive of posts that originally appeared in the web magazine of Viva Lewes in the earlier part of last year. They represent the outcome an opportunity to look a little more closely at one specific landscape and its mainly prehistoric features. To be rooted in one place offers a window to the fact that there are great riches to be had for us all when we take the time to study that which lies around us, whether our surroundings are rural or urban, heavily or sparsely packed with people. As well as offering a few bare facts and observations of this place, I hope these slightly random bits of heaped together text help inspire a greater knowledge of wherever you call home, in the hope that that knowledge can inspire a greater sense of kinship and belonging.
